Blind Sliders: a quick color challenge

How the game works

You study a target color, then hide it — and this time your own working color is hidden too, replaced by a question mark. You adjust Hue, Saturation and Lightness with no visual feedback at all, trusting memory and your sense of what each slider does. Reveal my color shows the target, your reconstruction and the match percentage side by side. Next color starts a fresh open-ended challenge.

What this challenge trains

This is the purest memory drill on the site: no reference, no preview, only your internal picture of the color and your mental model of HSL. The dependable approach is to set the three values deliberately before touching anything twice — estimate the hue family first, guess how vivid it was, then how dark. Random wiggling without a plan is what the question mark feeds on.

Before you compare results

Targets are regenerated for every challenge, and the locked-away preview means each attempt is a single honest shot from memory. The study phase still happens on your screen, so brightness and ambient light shape what you encode before the blindfold goes on. The percentage is feedback about memory and estimation, not a test of eyesight or diagnosis of any kind.
